Thanks for all participants, sponsors, and volunteers, together with us made a fruitful workshop!
The 6th Swedish Workshop on Data Science (SweDS18) will be hosted by Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden on November 20 -21, 2018
The Swedish Workshops on Data Science (SweDS) is a national event aiming to bring together researchers, practitioners, and opinion leaders with interest in data science. Topics of the workshop covers all areas of data science including methods from statistics and machine learning, computational science, algorithms, data structures, and applications of data science in any discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Linguistics, Economics, Environment, Education, Medicine, Healthcare, Biology, Sociology, Psychology, History, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Forestry, Design etc. ). The goal is to further establish this important area of research and application in Sweden, foster the exchange of ideas, and to promote collaboration. As a followup to the very successful previous five years’ editions hosted by University of Gothenburg | Chalmers, University of Skövde, University of Borås, Stockholm University, Blekinge Institute of Technology, we bring SweDS2018 to northern Sweden, hosted at Umeå University. The Department of Computing Science and HPC2N (High Performance Computing Center North) are jointly organising SweDS2018.
